Cruxwall cwsetup script in progress
Monday, June 20, 2005
It's a long time out station for me even though just for a one week. Currently the cwsetup script for cruxwall installation that I've done just workup nicely but with a little bit of minor problem with it progress bar..
It can locate mounted ROOT partition and extract the cruxwall base system to the ROOT partition. I just thought to include saveral additional CRUX packages like base, contrib and option packages for the purpose of serveral type of public servers like we and mail, It could be CRUXWALL optimized dedicated server distro.
But the main target right now for CRUXWALL is to be linux firewall distro with simple installation, configuration and administration system, while papit still strugle with krazhbox and awdwall (shorewall webgui administration) and for me, next weekend we will upload new source with little modification and additional packages. The modularized kernel will be include as a saperate base package so user can choose either to compile they own kernel or to use CRUXWALL modularized ready made kernel.. :P "can I say like that" So with modularized kernel any laziest user can setup CRUXWALL in a minute but make sure first that your hardware is supported. Soon we will publish the hardware list that supported by CRUXWALL after final test drive :P
